One of the best ways for high school youth to learn about future careers and how to make connections with the real world beyond their classroom walls is for them to participate in the HUB ELO credit-bearing learning experiences offered twice a year in a growing number of Providence high schools.
Two times a year PASA invites community leaders and business professionals to assist in the final jury review where high school students present their final products and learning from their ELO experiences. Students benefit from hearing feedback and learning from professionals in their field of interest and study. For businesses and future employers this experience provides a new connection to potential future jobs and careers. It is an exciting way for employers to recruit summer or after school interns who may have just gained experience and skills in web development, event planning, and other important workplace skills.
If you are interested in volunteering to assist in the ELO review panels which are held in December and June, please contact Damian Ewens, Hub Director at dewens@mypasa.org.
