What is an AfterZone?
THINK - Easy access THINK - Connected communities and providers working together for young people THINK - More access, more opportunities, more resources, more youth THINK - More family and community involvement and leadership THINK - At least three days a week youth will fill an afternoon  WITH FUN, ENGAGING, SAFE, QUALITY PROGRAMS Where are AfterZones?
After studying where the most youth and families lived and figuring out where the most facilities (i.e., schools, gyms, fields, classrooms, community rooms, kitchens, etc.) were concentrated, PASA and its partners identified the following five areas in Providence for AfterZone development: - Lower South Side - Elmwood /Lower South Providence / Reservoir / South Elmwood / Washington Park
- North End - Charles / Wanskuck
- Olneyville - Federal Hill / Hartford / Manton / Mount Pleasant / Olneyville / Silver Lake
- East Side - Hope / Mount Hope / Fox Point
- Upper South Side / West End - Upper South Providence / West End
