On November 18, 2009, the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women and the Pembroke Center Associates will present their biennial “Leadership for Change through Education Award.” The award honors women in any field who, both nationally and at the grass-roots level, succeed in changing lives by helping others to see the world differently and offering new ways of thinking about seemingly unsolvable problems. This year’s recipients are Teach for America CEO and Founder Wendy Kopp and PASA Executive Director Hillary Salmons. The event is free and open to the public and will take place at 8:00 p.m. at Brown University’s Salomon Center for Teaching, Room 101. Congratulations Wendy and Hillary!
