The Providence After School Alliance (PASA) is excited to announce the AfterZone’s request for program proposals (RFP) for the 2013 winter and spring AfterZone sessions!
PASA is looking for program providers to offer after-school programs as part of the AfterZone. The AfterZone is a unique network of free after-school programs offered to over 1,400 public middle school youth throughout Providence. We welcome a wide range of program proposals, including sports, arts, music, science, dance, theater, and more!
Programming for the winter session will operate from January 22nd through April 4th, and programming for the spring session will operate from April 22nd through May 30th. Programs operate in one hour blocks on a Monday/Wednesday basis OR a Tuesday/Thursday basis. All programs run from 2:30pm-5:15pm.
If you have never been an AfterZone program provider, joining the AfterZone’s network of quality practioners is a great way to bring your organization’s valuable programming to even more middle school youth. It’s also a unique opportunity to particpate in dynamic professional development opportunities that will improve your staff’s practice.
Please familiarize yourself with the AfterZone. To learn more about the types of professional development PASA offers, please visit Resources for Educators and Providers.
To support its AfterZone program providers, PASA offers program grants that typically range from $1200-$2500. Funding for AfterZone programs comes from a combination of private and federal sources.
If you are interested in becoming a new AfterZone program provider, PASA staff will provide an overview of how to prepare for and navigate the proposal submission process during two technical assistance sessions.
We strongly encourage new providers to attend one of the following sessions:
Monday, October 22nd from 2:00-3:30pm
Tuesday, October 23rd from 4:00-5:30pm
Both sessions will be held at the PASA offices, located at 140 Broadway, Providence RI 02903.
If you are a returning AfterZone provider, please use your existing account at www.youthservices.net/pasa to apply for programming.
This request for proposals closes at 9am EST on Monday, November 12th, 2012. If you have questions about this RFP, please contact Allison Quinn, Director of Middle School Initiatives at 401.490.9599 x109 or aquinn@mypasa.org.
